The Story of the Starfish

A man was walking with a friend one day on the beach and the tide had just gone out.  The beach was covered with starfish that were washed up on shore and could not get back to the water.  The man started picking up the starfish and throwing them in the water.  It was a daunting task because there were hundreds of starfish on the beach and the sun was almost down.  The friend called out to the man and shouted “Why are you doing this, you cannot save them all!"   The man picked up a starfish and threw it into the ocean.  He looked back at his friend and said, “I saved that one, didn’t I?”

In life we might not feel that we can solve all problems, but we can help solve some.  Cow Creek Enterprises donates each year to homeless shelters, youth sports leagues, and efforts to fight the crippling disease of mental illness.  This is reflected in our work; each piece of furniture, whether it is a pet bed or headboard, is handmade one at a time.

We encourage you to do your part.  We might think we cannot save them all, but we can save some.
