“A work of nature art.”

Cow Creek Enterprises made me a sturdy log coat tree that I have in my front entrance.  Not only is it a functional piece, on which I can hang all my winter coats and hats, it is a work of nature art.  I appreciated all the updates from Daniel on the progress of the project.

"It has made our simple little bedroom look like it's sitting in a showroom!"

My husband and I were gifted with a King sized log bed made by Cow Creek Enterprises.
The Montana Made craftsmanship is far better than we could have hoped for. Most traditional metal
framed beds creak and make noise no matter how much you WD-40 them, Vaseline them or oil them.
The noise problem still exists because of the weight of the bed not being distributed properly. Daniel has designed a bed that does not move. There are several log braces running the width of the
custom made frame stabilizing the bed. Those braces keep the bed level, providing enough support for the weight of the people and the mattresses to firmly stay in one place and to be silent even when moving around on them.
Now that I've touched on the amazing quality of our Log Framed Bed, I would like to share with you he
beautiful craftsmanship and how it has made our simple little bedroom look like it's sitting in a showroom!

Thank you Daniel. We look forward to paying it forward by helping others feel just as special as we do
when we walk into our bedroom every day. We are so blessed to have this bed.

Sincerely,

"the wood…"

I grew up in a home where wood was important…where its very presence told stories of our ancestors…of their hard work, their struggles, and their respect and appreciation for the land…I grew up where it stood reverently in the entryway, its strong red knotted arms holding coats and visitors’ hats and sweet children’s colorful scarves and mittens…I grew up where it leaned against the wall near tired hurting knees, its beautifully hand carved handle waiting patiently to share the pain…I grew up where it sat quietly in front of the davenport holding cups of hot black coffee and little candies in deep purple dishes listening to the voices of family and friends…and now i am once again blessed by its strong majestic beauty, its rugged resilience and its deep comforting roots of home…

"Thanks for keeping the living spirit of the forest wood alive through your craftsmanship…"

What to bring to the Thanksgiving table that will be prepared by someone you deeply care about? Flowers or a bottle of wine? That question was answered when I attended the Montana AdvancED Mountain Region Retreat, which was held at the beautiful Chico Hot Spring Resort. Daniel Sybrant gave each of the retreat participants one of his hand crafted wooden candle holders as a welcome gift. Daniel explained that after working hours he crafted different items out of wood that came directly from the forest and not a saw mill, and made them available through Cow Creek Enterprises.

I immediately knew what I wanted to bring to the Thanksgiving table. Not the candle holder that Daniel gave to me—that was mine—but a wooden candle holder that would be especially crafted for her and her Thanksgiving table. When the package arrived and was opened, I was immediately aware that the five piece candle holder was put together by a craftsman who understood how to bring out the beauty of wood through the illumination of candles. This became more evident when Rosetta and I placed the candle holder on the Thanksgiving table and lit the candles. The beauty of each wooden candle holder was illuminated as we lit the first candle for family members and friends who had passed, and the second candle for family members and friends who were not able to be with us for Thanksgiving. The third wooden candle holder was lit for those who were not able to enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. Rosetta lit the fourth candle and I lit the fifth candle while each of us took a moment to reflect upon our relationship and then gave thanks for life and all its blessings. The leather lace that held the five wooden candle holders together reminded us of our connectedness. The five piece wooden candle holder was not only a beautiful table centerpiece; it also amplified the meaning of Thanksgiving.

Rosetta loved the organic wooden candle holder, which now has a special place in the living room. Daniel, Thanks for keeping the living spirit of the forest wood alive through your craftsmanship and for touching so many lives through your work.
